What
is a Discussion Group?
(A simple explanation of discussion groups)
|
|
A
discussion group is a way to have many people communicate
from any computer with nothing more than an e-mail account.
Our discussion lists are what's known as an "open-discussion"
where anyone who is a member of the mailing list can submit
information to be distributed to the entire group. This means
we monitor the group, but do not moderate it.
Each list has an expert reviewer assigned to the group. This
reviewer is an expert in coding and reimbursement for that
specialty, and has the duty of reviewing postings to ensure
they are correct.
It's that simple - send 1 message and the whole list gets
the message, replies are also sent to the list, so an entire
"conversation" can be played out online over time.
